ANCST - stagnant oblivion

A lifetime of decay, a smile I know too well
Mirrors distort the view, holographs of me and you
We’re spitting shattered glass, digital and build to last
The pictures in our hands, just (a) means to an end
We feed the treacherous machine, begging for devotion
Our comfort lies in extinction, detached from our earthly wombs
Claiming the void as a sanctuary
Forever in decline, corrosion of the mind
Crawling through bits and bytes, in envy and apathy
Cold lies the scenery, untainted and lifeless
In our chains, we decay
Betrayed by vanity, we breathe denial
