Corusco - Leaves of Grass

I’ve never been so naked while clothed
My tattered body next to yours
Loose the stop from your throat
I only need the hum of your valved voice

Claw your way in
And stitch yourself inside of me
Pluck the needle from your eyes
Because I’m fraying at the seams

We were laying on the hillside
Beneath a black blanket of sky
I measured each and every burst of light
Burning up upon entry like a bridge
Quivering completely
My calloused hands against your bones
And in the dark, I try to speak your name
But the words just won’t come out
