The Murlocs - Centennial Perspective

Stoke the fire with a resurrection and you’re piercing through the surface
Tangled direction this old hermit thinks he serves a purpose for
Yelling at the television all day long
Yeah everybody’s got an inquisition song
Boiling hot politicians, kick em in the keister
Each year rolls into one, Mr. speaker

Centennial perspective, it’s all up in the air
Centennial perspective, hot on thе heels myriad
Centennial perspеctive, it’s all up in the air
It ain’t for the faint hearted

Huffing and a puffing it’s satan’s shout, calling last drinks now
Mother natures sobbing in the corner alone, Jesus with a tab in his mouth
Who’s throwing bottles at the cover band, medusa and her boa constrictors
Uh oh look at those limbs flailing with their walls covered in scripture

Huddled around the jukebox playing
The same tune every evening
Karaoke in this godforsaken dead end dump where we do our waiting
Waiting for the new generation

Centennial perspective, it’s all up in the air
Centennial perspective, hot on the heels myriad
Centennial perspective, it’s all up in the air
It ain’t for the faint hearted
