Sitting in my boat the other day
Running from the life I left astray
I hit the fast-forward button
On my remote control
Fifty years gone in a blink
And to think how nice to lose control
Pounding on the fiery gates of Hell
I didn't need to ring the damn doorbell
I slipped into my best of slickers
And I lost my mind
I felt the flames caress my face
And I taste the maggots in my mind
Five hundred years into eternity
My boat keeps sailing on the burning sea
Paying for my past transgressions in this misery
My tattered soul, now black as coal
My life hangs like a banner in the breeze
