Aphrodite's Child - Break (HQ)

From the album "666" (1972) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9EAiJXXtc-bdbxNvRZCRs402jnbC_bxw

Bye bye, my friend, goodbye
With a lie
you forget and break it

You make it (Shtatle day ta)*
You make it (Shtatle day, da da da da)
You make it (Shtatle day, day ba)
You make it

Cry in my empty room
and we try
to forget and break it

Fly
high
and then (tee tee, teedle da)
you make it [interlude]
Bye bye, my friend, goodbye
With a lie
you forget and break it

You make it (Shtatle dee, ta)
You make it (Shtee tee tiki ta, ta, ta)
You make it (Speedle da, deedle da)
Oh you make it
Oh, ah. ah.
(Dee bee bait, bee-ee)

Do it!

*As about the syllables you hear, it is Vangelis' voice, "answering" to Lucas by the jazz doo-wap technique: "stoobeedooobedoo..." and so on. It was Vangelis way of making fun to the song.
These are transcribed phonetically, and although there are some actual words like "day" and "bait", the whole thing is obviously not intented as real words.

There was a first verse, that was never sang. Costas doesn't even remember those lyrics, He only remembers that it started by "Now... got no place to go... " and his idea was (once more) to make fun of the melodramatic feeling of the song, by irony and extravaganza.
As about the syllables you hear, it is Vangelis' voice, "answering" to Lucas by the jazz doo-wap technique: "stoobeedooobedoo..." and so on. It was Vangelis way of making fun to the song, and that was why we missed the final lyrics.
