In late November 1969, I began hearing music that felt like it came from a higher dimension. My life was never the same.
In November, 1977, I was invited to meet with Greta Woodrew, a colleague who channeled the Ogatta ET group for Uri Geller and Dr. Andrijah Puharich. In her living room, I received a most remarkable lesson on sound and healing from Bilakka, their master musician.
Three months later, in the middle of recording another album, the energy in the room suddenly changed radically. I recognized the vibration immediately. I had the engineer put on a fresh reel of tape, turned out the lights and recorded all of the solo piano tracks on Eastern Peace in one continuous cycle. I always believed Bilakka was my co-composer on this album.
Side two of the original LP album, featured my Rhodes electric piano and was recorded shortly after the first session. Several tracks feature Schawkie Roth on bamboo flute.
