John Fogerty - Green River (live at woodstock)

The song “Green River” turned 53 years old this year! Did you know that the song was inspired by a place John Fogerty used to go when he was a kid along Putah Creek near Winters, CA? The title “Green River” actually came from a soda pop syrup label under the same name and the lyric pertaining to “Old Cody Junior” was a reference to Buffalo Bill Cody who owned a cabin along Putah Creek!
