Dr. Micheal Eric Dyson speaks during the Dedication of the new Princeton University dormitory, Kwanza Jones Hall, on May 5, named after Kwanza Jones. The José E. Feliciano Hall, another new Princeton University dormitory, was also Dedicated shortly after.
These are the first dormitories to be named after a Black and Latino in Princeton’s 275-year history. The dormitories were built after Kwanza Jones and José E. Feliciano gifted Princeton with a historic $20 million donation in 2019.
