Kill The Noise & Trivecta *LIVE* @ Red Rocks 2023

Nov 10 2023 Jake and Sam hit the rocks for an unforgettable performance.

Sam:: I first met Jake in 2017 on the Horizon Tour when I got last minute added to play doors for a few shows; I was absolutely terrified at the time. When I met Jake I was starstruck but pleasantly surprised at how humble he was. The experience gap between the two of us was staggering. I did think, however I had something to offer from my prior experiences in other worlds of music and I think Jake saw that. He was one of the first big EDM artists to recognize and show respect for that.⁣

A couple tours, collabs, grill sessions, Thanksgivings, surprise parties and pandemics later Jake has become one of my best friends. And that one thing has remained unchanged: he’s always been the guy to disregard how small your fan base may be, how few shows you’ve played or how low your numbers are. He’s always seen what I’ve got in me and always encouraged me to dig deep and run with it.⁣

This weekend, in a big full circle moment, Jake and I played Red Rocks b2b together. While the music we make can be pretty different, in a lot ways artistically Jake and I are cut from the same cloth. This reality was on full display this weekend as we knocked out one of my favorite sets I’ve ever been a part of. ⁣

Jake ::⁣
Our connection as artists has been organic, as mentioned in the video i didnt really forsee us playin redrocks together back in 2018 but the instinctual path led us here. I think if there is any message associated with the show it is that simple, just follow the instincts and enjoy our time together on “the path”. Sam and I both share some common interests and have different skill sets. Leaning into our differences as much as our common interests has given us the opportunity to learn from each other and break through creative problems together in new ways. Also combine styles to make something thats unique but flows together in a way that makes sense… in the end, it’s honestly just plain old fun no matter how hard the work is. This is the way forward and leads to possibilities that neither of us could have planned.

Big Shout out to
Drue Pines and Nathen Lane and Red Rocks for the video work :)
