That was cellist @Yo-Yo Ma’s vision for his 2008 collaborative album, “Songs of Joy and Peace,” which includes James Taylor performing “Here Comes the Sun” by @George Harrison with Yo-Yo on cello. The album includes other musical collaborations Including @Alison Krauss, @Dave Brubeck and @Renée Fleming.
The song was recorded and filmed at James’s home studio, TheBarn in Washington, MA on March 7, 2008. Charles Floyd wrote the cello arrangement and Dave O’Donnell produced, recorded and mixed the audio. Backing vocals were provided by David Lasley, Kate Markowitz, @Arnold McCuller, Kim Taylor and Andrea Zonn.
