From the Nothing To Fear album. A lament with hope. A song designed to comfort the grieving heart who has said goodbye to a loved one.
I began writing this song as my uncle was dying of pancreatic cancer. After he passed, I called my friend Chad Cates to help me think through how to best bring it to completion. This was never meant to be a happy sounding song. My heart was wounded.
The hope we have in Jesus is not arbitrary. We have no fear of death because we cling to the promise that we will rise again with Him. Death is not the end of the road. There is much much more ahead of us.
