Context of the song: Columbia records asked the 4 boys of BTR to write and record a “Summer Hit”, Midnight Somewhere was the song by Kendall, which received several accolades. In the end, the label preferred to buy the rights to the song "Song 2" by Blur and they discarded Midnight Somewhere (this all happened in 2012). This clip of the song was shown by the boys on an IG live at a photo shoot for Fall.
