About WOOSUNG
Woosung is a Korean-American musician, singer-songwriter, and composer best known as the vocalist and electric guitarist of the South Korean band, The Rose.
Woosung made his solo debut in 2019 with EP Wolf, and its title single, “Face,” quickly racked up nearly 20 million views on YouTube. In 2020, Woosung lent his vocals to the original soundtrack of award-winning K-drama series Itaewon Class. Known for his unique vocal style, Woosung released his debut full-length album, Genre, in December 2021, and subsequently embarked on back-to-back tours across the United States, Europe, and Asia, lighting up stages around the world. Following up with the acclaimed MOTH EP, Woosung proved his versatility once again as a powerhouse performer. In 2023, he delighted fans worldwide by featuring on Agust D’s track “Snooze” from Suga’s latest album D-DAY alongside legendary composer Ryuichi Sakamoto.
This year, Woosung dropped his highly-anticipated sophomore album, 4444, a genre-defying collection that includes the haunting piano ballad “Day That I Died” and the undeniably catchy title track “44 (Forget Forever).” A multifaceted performer, Woosung is set to close out 2024 by lending his voice to the upcoming Netflix animated series “Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld” alongside Ali Wong, Lucy Liu, Bowen Yang, and Jimmy O. Yang.
