Over coming resistance (a poem)

I don’t feel like it
And beyond that
The world is full of haters
And beyond that there’s even a lunatic out there or two or three
And beyond that food shortages and the irs
And 87000 new agent smiths coming after us all just trying to feed our families
And beyond that indifference
And shadow bans
And the fact that who can’t be asked?

But on the flip side
It’s one life you’re given
And to allow obliteration to wash you out before your time
Must be some kind of mortal sin

So what do we do in place of that?

We flip it all on its head
We turn strength into weakness
I mean weakness into strength
We display our banning of our own shadows
Through the perplexities of mood
We ignore feelings
And heroically move forward
We run barefoot in the park when we don’t feel like it
And we surrender to the moment
In all its soul crushing glory
And disagree
With the waves of depression
To elevate ourselves out of oppression
And we do it again the next day
And the next day again

Because self expression is a blood sport
And there are spiritual agents assigned To defeat your will volition to fulfill the duties of your voice
And resistance comes from within as well as from without
Driving yourself crazy
In a whirlwind of lack mentality
It can all seem some useless

But it’s not
For we charge each other with the momentum
We bring forth in ourselves
And it works in circular fashion
To come back around
Like wind in the sails of progress
Your voice
The human voice
Your vision
The human vision
Is no small thing against the shadows
And vortex of evil
Learn to see resistance as a form of encouragement
That you’re over the mark
And prepared to give the word
That can help another move forward
And so help you move forward
Until resistance is just a dream
Or fuel
Sitting on top of a wish fulfilled and a world of possibilities
