JESU, JOY OF MAN'S DESIRING - Roger Williams

Roger Williams performed Johann Sebastian Bach's beloved, "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," with the Crystal Cathedral Orchestra and Choir directed by Johnnie Carl on January 21, 1990.
"Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" is the popular English title from Bach's 1723 chorale, "Advent cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben" (Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life). The English title derives from famous piano transcriptions by Myra Hess, in 1926 for piano solo, and in 1934 for piano duet. Whether played instrumentally or sung in German or English, the chorale is often heard at weddings and during Advent, Christmas, and Easter.
