Ray Charles recorded version, from his 1993 album My World, earned him a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. A favorite song of his good friend Willie Nelson, Charles famously sang the song to him on the occasion of his 70th birthday live at The Beacon Theatre in New York.
