ONE YEAR AGO: we were standing on stage in front of sold out arenas feeling the emotional rush of a lifetime. we were experiencing something we had dreamed of since we were little kids first falling in love with music. then, all of a sudden, the world stopped. it took us a few months to process the whole situation, but once we accepted the unprecedented reality, we started to reflect. we reflected on everyone and everything it took to get us where we are, and found a new appreciation for all of it. we never took things for granted, but the pace of competitively trying to grow a career from the ground up often causes us to miss out on “moments”. we learned so much during this difficult season, but most importantly, we learned to slow down and take things in. life moves fast, and you never know when someone or something you love so much can be taken away in the blink of an eye. watching this video a year later gives us actual goosebumps, and makes us wonder if it even really happened. there is a lot of sadness and negativity in the news, but there is also a lot of hope, especially right now. we hope, with all our hearts, that things can safely return to “normal” sooner rather than later, and our industry can get back on its feet. not only are we excited to get back on stage, we’re excited to be fans again and attend concerts surrounded by thousands of people who are, all differences aside, unified by the power of music. we will savor every second of every opportunity, and never miss the “moments” again. apologies in advance for the waterfall of tears when we finally get to step back on stage. in the words of our manager lisa, we are manifesting good things to happen, and putting it into the atmosphere right now. the (arena) tour WILL happen, so get your tickets before they’re gone. we miss you all so much, and can’t wait to see you in person. it’s been too long. ❤️
