“I’m sure that sounds slightly depressing…but I also think there’s a touch of hope here, or at least of recognition. There’s something empowering about noting that things are over and it’s time to pack it in and move on. So whether he’s going to get this one last ride together or not, he knows it’s time to pick up the pieces and start something different.”
