I'VE NEVER BEEN TO TEXAS
Music and Lyrics by Judith Owen

He came to her for some honest affection
couldn't understand how she could be so strong
but she cried inside and with a little introspection she said
"you know you've gotta be the first to know when you are wrong"

She met a stranger in strange circumstances
talked for hours like they were long lost friends
and when he left her heart was filled with eastern dances
two days before her heart could strike a beat again

well I've never been to Texas
but I hear, I hear the weather's awful hard
and if I was a lizard I would lie on the desert
and send my emotions on a postcard

they met again one rainy morning
saw his face and her heart fell like a circus chime
but deep inside her pride was alive, it was like, like a new day dawning
and well, isn't strange how much can change in such a little time..

well I've never been to Texas
but I hear, I hear the weather's awful hard
and if I was a lizard I would lie on the desert
and send my emotions on a postcard

I'd like to send my emotions on a postcard.

UNDER YOUR DOOR
words & music by Judith Owen

just today I found you
and your head was in your hands
said you couldn't face another day
all of life's rejections
all those dreams turned into sand
what's the point you asked me
so I took your hand and said that when it feels like…

chorus
the rain might fall forever
and the wind might blow forever
don't let go whatever (you do)
cause if you hold tight
you might just see the light
under your door

so face the storm my friend
and believe me when I say that
this too will (must) end

I have walked this rocky road
I've stumbled many times
wondered why I walk it every day
I've been so down hearted that
I almost lost my mind
Took a friend to hold my hand
to help me understand that sometimes it feels like ...

chorus
the rains might fall forever
oh and the winds might blow forever
don't let go whatever
cause if you hold tight
you might just see the light
under your door.
