Jesse Cook (Spanish Guitar Music Instrumental Acoustic) Tuesday's Child

Tuesday's Child (Spanish Guitar Music Instrumental Acoustic)

I wrote Tuesday's Child when my kid's were still toddlers, and I was trying to keep an eye on them while composing. They seemed happy enough playing, so I picked up my guitar and out came this song. Quickly, I recorded it so it wouldn't be forgotten.

As the album recording came together, the original guitar demos survived right up to the end. The last thing I had to do was redo them. But after the new guitar parts were recorded, I found I didn't like them as much. Something was missing. I had become attached to the sound of the kids playing in the background of my original guitar takes.

Next thing, I'm back at home, mic in hand, chasing my poor kids around the floor trying to recapture the magic.

This new version has no kids playing in the background, as my children are teens now, and Fortnite sound effects might not have the same emotional tug. But the connection has been made, and for me the notes of Tuesday's Child will forever echo with bittersweet melancholy of a childhood lost.
