A snippet of a song I wrote with “The Digital Noise Academy".

This is one of the many hats I wear in my job. I love arranging. Back in my crazy touring days, I had the privilege of opening for so many artists; however, many of them wanted me to have an easy setup, as easy as 3 inputs! Two for my piano and one for my voice. So I learned early in the touring biz that if I wanted to work a lot, I needed to develop the skill to reconfigure everything I write and produce for the piano.

Here is a little snippet of a song I wrote with a band I was in called "The Digital Noise Academy". This project enabled me to write with some of the most talented musicians in the music business. It up-leveled my songwriting chops and vocal skills. Stylistically.

What's reaaaaallly fun is reversing that! By starting on piano!

Have you ever tried to learn a fully produced song on a single instrument like a piano or guitar? What is your process? I love this stuff!

We also teach it here in the Something Like A Voice Lesson studio and use it as a tool to develop our singer-songwriters like
Samantha deLuca @sammydelucs.
