I started writing System when Stunnin first started blowing up and all these record labels were calling me. It felt like I was being looked at as a commodity and I was really frustrated. I wrote the second verse after the murder of George Floyd and the black lives matter protests. The song could be about a lot of different things but to me it was about my anger with oppression.
