Mark 6:31. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in desperate need of some soul level rest. I took a week long pause to settle and honestly, it was hard to settle down in my mind. This world moves fast, the kids, the work, the feeds, the news, and I’m asking myself how to slow down in the midst of a fast paced life. Singing this over my year and yours too, asking for many moments to simply be and notice and listen and rest.
I’m also asking God today how to continue the beautiful bridge building work of righteous racial reconciliation as we remember and honor Dr. King. May we continue in the good work of learning to be agents of peace, rebuilding and restoring the places long devastated by racism . May we take rest when we need it and then move out into the world with hearts full of love and light . ✨✨✨
