We are thrilled to announce the first recipient of our $2500 Young Artist Grant: The Sprouts!! (@thesproutsband on Instagram). They are an amazing local band and we can’t wait to see how they make use of the funding. Round 2 of our grant is accepting applications NOW at www.saidthewhale.com/young-artists. If you are a BC-based artist (in any genre), we’d love to see your application. On this round we’ve also expanded our program to include a separate $1000 grant for BIPOC artists. Applications for both streams close Nov 20!
