This beautiful song was written in 1942. The words are from the perspective of a soldier who is stationed overseas, unable to be with family at Christmas. How many of us find ourselves in that situation this year? BBC Radio banned the song initially, fearing it would make people “too sad”. But it’s ok to be sad. Love to you all :)
