"The Battle Rages On" is the opening track of Wintersun's demo album, Fantasy Metal Project By Jari Mäenpää, part of the five-demo album collection Legendary Early Demos. Jari composed and recorded the album using a Roland VS-1680 (16-track hard disk workstation) between 1998 and 2000. The vocals for the tracks "The Steel Of The Gods," "Wild Are The Rivers And Seas," "Magic Of The Elders," and "Fountain Of Life" were recorded in January 2024. Remastered and released in 2024.
