#OnThisDay in 1969, #CCR returned to perform on The Ed Sullivan Show– introduced by #EdSullivan, “Here’s what you youngsters have been clamoring for… the number one group in the U.S. and Canada…” performing “Fortunate Son.” The band was fresh off their August #Woodstock performance and album release of Willy and The Poor Boys. The track, “Fortunate Son,” peaked at No. 14 on the #Billboard Hot 100 Chart six days after their appearance. Check out the clip now!
