TOMMY JAMES- "ANOTHER HILL TO CLIMB" (VINYL UPLOAD)

Christian of the World is the second solo studio album by Tommy James and was released in 1971. It reached #131 on the Billboard 200. The album had four singles that charted. The biggest hit was "Draggin' the Line" that reached #2 in Canada, #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #6 on the U.S. adult contemporary chart. "I'm Comin' Home" reached #19 in Canada and #40 in the U.S. "Church Street Soul Revival" reached #55 in Canada and #62 in the U.S. "Adrienne" reached #93 in the U.S. "ANOTHER HILL TO CLIMB" was posted from the vinyl 1971 album "Christian of the World". "CHRISTIAN OF THE WORLD was a total departure from anything Tommy had ever done before. While it's true, other 'mainstream' pop and country performers had, on occasion, recorded traditional Gospel music...no other rock artist had ever attempted anything as bold as an album of new 'Christian oriented' songs. Today this genre would be called Christian Contemporary, but in 1971, the year of its release, this was unheard of.
Musically the album was a mixture of serious religious themes encased in Tommy's well known pop style and featured many of the studio players and singers Tommy had used successfully on earlier recordings. The LP produced three more hit singles "Adrienne", "Church Street Soul Revival" (A song Tommy originally wrote and produced for the group EXILE, released on Columbia Records) and the monster "Draggin' the Line"."(tommyjames.com) LYRICS: You say you'd never stay; what a shame.
You say that you think it's all over.
You know, I think it's all such a sad thing.
Everyday your heart's a little colder, and there's

Still another hill to climb, yeah,
Still another hurt to get over.
Still another hill to climb, yeah,
Still another hill to climb

Hey, we almost made it to the mountain.
Ooh, we almost saw the view.
Love can lead you down to the valley,
But girl, it don't get you through 'cause there's
Still another hill to climb, yeah,
Still another hurt to get over.
Still another hill to climb, yeah,
Still another hill to climb

And there's still another hill to climb
Yeah, still another hurt to get over.
And there's still another hill to climb
Still another hurt to get over (repeat to the end)
