As a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and arranger, John Fogerty developed a distinctive brand of rock and roll and a formidable songbook with Creedence Clearwater Revival. Between 1969 and 1971, CCR released nine Top Ten singles, all written, arranged, and produced by Fogerty, along with one of the great standards, "Proud Mary." As CCR, they also scored eight gold albums between 1968 and 1972, all fueled by Fogerty's driving rock song arrangements, classic production, and expressive lyrics.
