The first official single from the upcoming album by NYC emcee Fokis and Czech Republic's legendary producer DJ Fatte, coming later in 2025. "New York Metropolis" brings together two accomplished artists for a powerful cross-continental hip-hop collaboration that bridges the Atlantic with authentic boom bap sensibilities. Featuring cuts by Luxembourg's DJ PC.
DJ Fatte is one of the most prolific beatmakers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and a key member of the influential Czech label TyNikdy. His extensive discography includes work with IdeaFatte, Rest, MC Gey, and Nironic. His solo projects include "Což takhle dat si Tesař," "Fatte No More," "Soundtrack," "Fade In," and the instrumental album "No Words Needed.
Born and raised on NY's Lower East Side of Manhattan, Fokis has built an impressive career as an artist, producer, and entrepreneur. He's toured with Common, Busta Rhymes, and The Game, while recording and mixing for artists like Big Daddy Kane, Fat Joe, and N.O.R.E. His international collaborations span Germany, Poland, France, and the Czech Republic, with notable projects including "Recognize Your Power" with Edo. G & Shabaam Sahdeeq, "This Thing Called Life" with Oh No, and "Universal Dialect" with Retrogott.
