Michael Price is an Emmy Award winning composer and pianist from Yorkshire, England. His early career saw him assisting the late, great composer Michael Kamen across projects as varied and exciting as Band of Brothers to Metallica’s S&M. This developed through to music editing on blockbusters such as Lord of the Rings and Children of Men and naturally culminated in Michael finding his home as a composer in his own right, bringing life to the worlds of hit TV shows Sherlock, Dracula and Unforgotten. Michael’s own composition lives on acclaimed contemporary classical label Erased Tapes alongside Nils Frahm, Penguin Cafe and Peter Broderick - here, unconstrained from writing to picture, Michael’s work is rich in storytelling, creating evocative landscapes through sound.
