2020: Vocal veteran phenom Dame Shirley Bassey recorded a wonderful cover of the song, Adagio. She included this track on what many believe will be her last album, and it is called, 'I Owe It All To You. The song Adagio was of Italian origin. The English Lyrics were written by several songwriters, and the most well know is singer/songwriter Lara Fabian. Lara had a hit with this song back in 1999.
Dame Shirley has been in the business for almost 70 years, and she was rewarded for her efforts with a Top 5 hit album. Her voice has aged like fine wine. Dame Shirley is still able to punch it to hit those huge high fidelity belter notes. I have no doubt that if she wanted to continue to record for many more years to come, she could!
