If you didn't already know it, “Purple Rain” is a song originally written by the legendary Prince. It appears on Andy McKee’s EP, ‘Symbol’ (released in September 2021). Prince was a huge source of inspiration for Andy. Prince and Andy had a strong mutual admiration for each other's music. Prince discovered Andy's music on YouTube and became a fan. He invited Andy to tour with him in Australia. Andy came up with this acoustic arrangement of "Purple Rain" and Prince really dug it.
