Pat McGee Band @ Molson Amphitheatre - 8/23/98 (supporting The Allman Brothers Band)

Pat McGee Band opening for The Allman Brothers Band.

That happened (many times actually). Still doesn’t seem right. I must first thank the old school fans all over the east coast and midwest that supported PMB to make the ABB camp take notice. I want to thank my booking agent, Armand Sadlier for working his tail off for us and lastly Jonny Podell, the famed agent who booked my favorite band on planet earth. Also props to Bert Holman, Kirk West from the ABB offices for welcoming PMB into the jam band heavens and teaching us a thing or two.

Thanks dude in the video projection booth for pressing RECORD and handing me this VHS tape. You have given me the ultimate “gift that keeps on giving”. Having lost Chris “CW” Williams (on drums) back in 2006, seeing CW play his heart out on the biggest of stages means the world to me.

I had so much adrenaline running through me I can’t believe I could even play my instrument or squeak out a lyric in any decent pitch. Not to mention, that we were in Canada, a place I hadn’t been since my parents took me as a child to visit Ontario Place. Look how far I’d come mom & dad!

The band played great, Al Walsh, Jonathan, John Small, Chardy McEwan and CW. I’m grinning ear to ear watching this footage. 2022 PMB TOUR sure has a sweet ring to it. Let’s make that happen guys.

oh, and just one thing, so who are these guys in the audience I keep referring to clearly from Michigan? If you’re out there in the inter webs…hollar!

Coming from the guy who had a license plate that read ALLMANS. I cannot possibly thank ABB for allowing this opportunity and many others. I am forever in your debt. Just last night, I blasted Eat A Peach out by my firepit…so magical to me.

PMB Setlist:
Could Have Been a Song
Girl From Athens
Passion
Straight Curve
Can’t Miss What Ya Never Had
Rebecca

And to the PMB crew who may or may not have been at this show: Paul Stenstrom Jeff Caldwell Brian Bain Jason Hoar Stryker and of course D Rock. Thank y’all for dealing with us.

-Pat
