The future of human employment is certainly hearing warning shots on the battlefield of technological evolution
Let’s talk about chat GPT
And what I believe is the best use case for artists in its current form
People are freaking out that it will replace
The roles of the creatives
But I ultimately think great artists are somewhat safe
We will indeed soon have a market more flooded than ever with mediocre, competent
Yet mostly soulless work
And let’s face it
There already is a bunch of that
And soon there will be a tsunami of more of it
Because
You can simply ask chat GPT to write a book for you on any subject and it will do just that
Depending on the initial questions to it
The more you breakdown the inputs of what you ask it to do
The more depth you go into the tasks and questions
And the more creative those questions are
the more interesting response it gives you
The more interesting are it’s essays, chapters, blogs, vlogs, poems, code, songs. The sky is the limit of what it is capable of doing, though the quality of that work certainly has a glass ceiling for now
And I suppose that’s good yet unsurprising news.
God created man
And mans attempts at out doing God have all mostly crashed and burned at this point.
In its current incarnation chat GPT
Is like google on steroids and acid
And not much more than that. At least so far.
And by the way that’s plenty. It is rather amazing.
