James & Myat - Better Times Will Come - Burmese (Janis Ian)

Aspiring young singer-songwriters, James and Myat are (in their own words) “amateur musicians who are willing to give what they can in times of loneliness.” These teenagers have adapted “Better Times Will Come” to the Burmese language, making this our 11th spoken language adaptation. (If you count sign language adaptations, it’s 15 all together.) They created this video under difficult conditions, with limited access to equipment and the Internet. Bravo to them! Again quoting them, James “dreams of involvement in the music industry one day and is currently making active efforts to reach that goal” while Myat “is simply waiting to leave high school behind and pursue higher education. She is still open to exploring her interests and abilities, so she chooses to start with music.” Special thanks to Steve for facilitating this!
