Steve Forbert's Jimmie Rodgers tribute "Any Old Time" earned him a Grammy nomination in 2003 and various Jimmie Rodgers songs have been included in his shows over the last forty-five years.
Now Steve is releasing a compilation of the best of those live covers.
RODGERS REVISITED also includes seven unreleased 2002 studio demos. Garry Tallent (bass, banjo, electric guitar) joined in on those recordings. George Naha and Todd Lanka (lead guitar and upright bass) appear on three of the 14 live tracks.
Steve is from Meridian, Mississippi which is also the birthplace of America’s Blue Yodler.
