Today was a casual breeze of festivities and fine dining, beginning with a birthday tribute to one of my oldest and dearest friends, Panashe. As a nod to our shared love for top quality eye fillet steaks, I took him out for a steak lunch at Harvey's Bistro—my go-to.
The afternoon brought a shift from celebration to anticipation as we met with our legendary manager, Michael Chugg. With our single "Edge of the Earth" set to drop in just two days, the air was thick with excitement and last-minute strategies. It's moments like these that remind me of the thrilling pulse of the music industry.
Continuing the day's theme of birthdays, we celebrated another orbit around the sun for our friend and now manager, Daniel Watson. Dinner at Tartufo, another Brisbane gem, was the perfect setting for such an occasion, serving up not just incredible Italian cuisine but also a toast to enduring friendships and new chapters.
The day capped off with some downtime, immersing myself in the rugged world of Red Dead Redemption 2—a fitting end to another day in the wild frontier of music business.
