The song was written by David Foster and Linda Thompson and produced by Foster. After back-to-back successes of "I Will Always Love You" and "I'm Every Woman," "I Have Nothing" also became a massive hit and is one of the highlights of "The Concert For A New South Africa (Durban)" film, currently available to watch on iTunes, Fandango, Google Play and Amazon.
