– The concerts take place in churches and all regulations will be met in regards to the ongoing pandemic.
The collaboration will be based on yearly workshops and tours in churches in the Southern part of Denmark, where the choir is based and where all three of us grew up. The ambition is to develop a new collaborative concert format founded on Efterklang songs, songs from the choir’s usual repertoire as well as jointly created material. There is an underlying goal from Efterklang and choir leader Mette Rasmussen to include the members of the choir in the creation process and to inspire them to become creating artists themselves.
We have collaborated with the choir on and off for almost a decade. They are featured on our Piramida album (2012) and also in The Last Concert (2014) and very recently they helped us record the Lyset EP (2019). Over the years we have also made guest appearances on several of the choir’s concerts and we are naturally very happy and excited to take this collaboration to the next level.
