“I put any and every idea into my phone. I was sitting with my wife, and I said, ‘Baby, it’s about time for a drink’. The phrase had a flow to it. I was scrolling through my notes in a session, and I got all of these images like ‘Truckstop ice’. You don’t hear that kind of lyrical imagery in country songs these days. We always want to take it to the next level though. Florida Georgia Line are two of my best friends. Tyler Hubbard is always giving me dad advice now. So, I told him, ‘Dude, I think I need FGL on this banger’. Next thing you know, we got in the studio and they recorded their vocals. It’s always so fun to make music with friends.”
