Colin was a unique and incredible keyboard player starting his career with Mungo Jerry, who had the huge hit ‘IN THE SUMMERTIME’ among many others back in the day. https://youtu.be/qwIj_vuxdrQ?si=iIT2kdmt0vnEwpGk
He also played keyboards on many Foghat recordings over the years, was good friends with Lonesome Dave and acted as Foghat’s tour manager on and off several times! He and Roger were very close. He was a great big brother.
Colin wrote a great song for our last album SONIC MOJO called “Wish I’d Been There”(when Hank Williams came to town). https://foghat.info/WishIdBeenThere-Foghat He was very proud of this song (and so are we) and loved what the band did with the recording.
He also wrote Foghat’s only instrumental called “495 Boogie” which we released on our previous blues album “Last Train Home” in 2010. https://youtu.be/R2YGlR6dSEY?si=XxkgUb2nY_ZrZsDh
To those of you who knew Colin, just think of him and smile. He’s watching. And keep his memory alive through his music! Rest now brother. You will be greatly missed!
