Mike Harrison is a Detroit-based composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist. While firmly rooted in swing and blues, you can hear their eclectic tastes and sensibilities in music spanning funk, folk, gospel, soul, pop, country, R&B, and traditional genres. Mike can be found regularly performing alongside elite musicians as a pianist, organist, guitarist, bassist, and vocalist around Michigan and beyond. Overflowing with joyous expression through music, they are acclaimed for their exuberant spirit, positivity, and creativity on the bandstand. Regardless of genre, Mike’s playing embodies their belief that all music should be accessible, danceable, and make you smile. When not performing, writing, and recording original music or backing up the best and brightest musicians around town, Mike is most likely to be found baking bread, learning useless factoids, or playing with their dog Doris, who is widely considered to be a very good girl.
