He, who shared the form of God,
did not abuse his privilege,
but poured himself for those he loved
and suffered like a slave.
The cosmic Christ came drawing near
to humbly walk in human flesh.
He shared our life and faced our death,
even to the cross.
Therefore, God exalted him
and raised him up again,
that, at the name of Jesus,
every knee will stop to bend.
In heaven, on earth,
and in the depths of hell,
every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
