Meet my current favorite trio, Wyvern Lingo. Originally from Bray, County Wicklow in Ireland, Saoirse Duane, Caoimhe Barry, and Karen Cowley grew up making music together. When we first began corresponding, they were knee-deep into recording their newest album, "Awake You Lie" (interesting title, eh? Think about it...), and asked if I could wait until they were done. Corresponding with them is full of tidbits like “We did finally manage to record it on our houseboat studio in Berlin”, or the trick question “So how do you pronounce ‘Caoimhe’?” There are moments in this video that actually give me chills – when the harmonies first begin, when the drummer sings a high lick I’d never even attempt. I’m beyond happy to welcome them here.
