George's Journal - Day 68: Fred again..

March 9th, 2024

The morning after the wedding unfolded like a serene epilogue to the previous day's festivities. Breakfast at the hotel was a leisurely affair, shared with family, as we all gradually emerged from our rooms, basking in the afterglow of celebration and bidding farewell as each departed.

The day's vibe continued in high spirits at Sixes and Sevens, where the Brisbane sun cast a perfect backdrop for more friendly reunions on James St. Embracing the day’s brightness, I donned my pink ensemble, complete with rose-colored glasses, making the world look just a bit more splendid.

The afternoon adventure saw me, Ando, Jay, and Chloe, journeying to the Gold Coast together, riding the wave of excitement of heading out to see Fred again.. live in concert. Snagging these coveted tickets felt like striking gold, despite the traffic snarls leading to The Spit. Thanks to our connections to Movie World, we bypassed the parking pandemonium, landing a spot a mere stroll from the festival grounds.

Fred again..'s performance was a fun, albeit more of a DJ set than the full show they were treated to in Sydney and Melbourne, it was an experience heightened by the clear-headedness of a booze-free night, proving that the music alone could carry the euphoria.

The night concluded with me chauffeuring my friends home, the day's buzz simmering down to a tired but contented silence. In a humorous twist, my nightly sign-off featured an inadvertent camera flip, a sleepy mistake that ended the day with a chuckle.

Until tomorrow,

G.Shep xx
