Mae Krell - Like poetry

I know I can't claim the city
But here is all I've ever known
When the whole world wants what you've always had
There's nowhere else to go

Everywhere else feels suffocating
And now New York does, too
I told you it's not like the movies
But I meant nothing...
Nothing...
To you

I know I can't claim my city
But I walk this one with eyes closed
Throw me a rope and I'll lead you underground
Where nothing worthwhile grows

I'm scared that I'm the only one suffocating
And at the fault is all I'm hеre here[???]

I kinda wish it was likе the movies
Meaning nothing
Feels like poetry
