'Let It Go' From 'Frozen' Gets the Ultimate Metal Makeover From Nightwish's Floor Jansen

Nightwish's Floor Jansen breathes fire into a metal cover of the Frozen theme song "Let It Go," which she released over the weekend.

Even if the past is in the past, Jansen says her cover of "Let It Go" by Idina Menzel (aka Queen Elsa), which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2014, was inspired by her 3-year-old daughter Freja's ongoing obsession with it. Now she wants the children's earworm to get stuck in your metal-loving ears.

"Freja has been listening to and singing 'Let It Go' from the Disney movie, Frozen, for months. For fun and also because I miss performing for you, I decided to cover 'Let It Go' from Frozen for all of you! 'Let It Go' has been stuck in my head for months, so now it's your turn," the Nightwish singer wrote under the YouTube video. "We added a bit of a rock & metal sound to it and gave it a bit of our own twist!"

Oscar Fläring of the Swedish rock band The Fouxes provided the instrumentals for the rock and metal version of the 2013 Disney animated children's movie theme. Who knew "Let It Go" would be the perfect mantra for a head-banging anthem?

Let Jansen's vocals rage on for her high-octane cover of "Let It Go" below.
