Cardi B just played a pair of triumphant, guest-heavy sets at both Coachella weekends. And she’ll return to the stage this weekend, performing at the Broccoli Festival in Washington, DC, alongside Migos, Miguel, and many others. But when that’s done, she’ll be taking some time off from being onstage, for a very sane reason. She is extremely pregnant, and extremely pregnant women need their rest.
Cardi made the announcement that she’s cancelling her planned spring and summer dates in an Instagram video last night, explaining that “shorty keep growing” and “a bitch barely can’t breathe.” She also said that she’d be back on the road this September, opening for her “Finesse (Remix)” collaborator Bruno Mars on his coming arena tour.
On Twitter this morning, Cardi also wrote that she’s going to keep working on new music while she’s laid up.
