We could tell early on that our Extended Play collaboration with Niall Horan was going to be a fun trip. The singer and his team were full of engaging ideas regarding how best to give a personalized spin on some of the strong new songs from the singer’s ‘The Show.’ All we had to do was execute. So it was off to SoCal, where Niall wrote most of the tunes, setting up shop in the rolling hills that matched the relaxed vibe of Horan’s latest work. Seems like we’re building towards a crescendo as our inaugural EP series with Niall rolls on. “You Could Start A Cult” was a solitary hillside strum sesh, the beauty of acoustic guitar in full effect. “Meltdown” shimmered with the full band chugging along. And now comes “On A Night LIke Tonight.” This one’s reaching back to that 90s UK rock sound, comfortably introducing it to the here and now. No wonder people are loving this record.
